Data are presented as odds ratios (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CI) using multivariable logistic regression analysis for the association between each insulin resistance index (each 1-unit increase) and prevalent hypertension with adjustments for age, sex, alcohol intake, tobacco smoking, physical activity level, waist circumference, body mass index, total cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, serum uric acid, blood urea nitrogen and estimated glomerular filtration
