Urinary protein profile of various groups. One dimensional protein profile of 390 participants showing various range of proteins excreted in urine. Total 268 participants showed a similar profile (Additional file 1) and were further selected for 2 dimensional gel electrophoresis study. The present one dimensional profile depicted appearance of low molecular weight proteinuria of clinical significance in early diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy
