  1. Insulin dependent diabetes was induced by administering a single intraperitoneal injection of alloxan monohydrate at a dose of 150 mg/kg to CD-1 mice. Measurements for plasma insulin were taken at pre-induction, week-0 (baseline), and week-4 after treatment. Data are expressed as mean ± SD as well as percent change of treatment. ↑ increase from post induction, ↓ decrease from post induction.
