Relative expression of 5 target mRNAs in OAT, MAT and SAT in MS (n = 23 women) vs. the control group (n = 10 women). The expression ratio is the fold change between the sample expression and the control groups. The specific mRNAs were assessed by quantitative real-time PCR assay in adipose biopsies. The gene expression was quantified by normalization to reference gene β2-microglobulin. *P < 0.05. **P < 0.005.
