The urinary excretion of albumin in the vehicle group at the completion of the study period was significantly greater than in the other groups, either in the non-diabetic (Z) or in the fatty-diabetic animals with low-calorie diet (ZDFD) and telmisartan (ZDFT). Renal function and plasma creatinine values did not experience any significant change.
