Comparisons of the prevalence of CAD, AHI and circulating levels of adiponectin and TBARS between SDB/OSA subjects without and with the metabolic sydnrome. CAD, coronary artery disease; AHI, apnea-hypopnea index; SDB, sleep-disordered breathing; OSA, obstructive sleep apnea; TBARS, thiobarbituric acid reactive substance. All values were expressed as mean ± SEM, and compared by the χ2 and Mann- Whitney U-test in experiments of two groups. In all cases, p values < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.
