From: Chronic consumption of fructose rich soft drinks alters tissue lipids of rats
Glucose kinetics and area under curve of glucose during OGTT. Glucose kinetics and area under the curve of blood glucose levels during the glucose tolerance test. A 20% glucose solution (2 g/kg of body weight) was administered to the rats by gavage, after a 15 h fasting. Blood samples were collected before and at 30, 60 and 120 minutes after glucose administration. The results were analyzed by the calculated areas under the curves of serum glucose.
